Originally from Mumbai, I first obtained my Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) in India. After graduation and while working in Mumbai, I continued to have a thirst for the latest in dental education and technology. I knew the path ahead lead me to the United States, and I was fortunate and blessed to study at New York University College of Dentistry which is ranked amongst the best, not just in the U.S, but in the world.
Read More Living in Manhattan was the opportunity of a lifetime that I embraced with open arms; however, the need for exploring more of the United States brought me to Dallas during the spring of 2015 to visit my old roommate from NYU. Both the people and the weather were warm and inviting, and after graduation, I decided to move to Texas!
It was in Dallas that my friends set me up on a blind date, and I met my husband and partner extraordinaire, Milan, who is a native Austinite. We moved to Austin shortly after we got married.
Having trained as a dentist in two countries, India and the United States, I have the experience of interacting with patients across two continents. While my extensive training has provided me with superior skills to treat common dental problems and diseases, what I enjoy most about being a dentist is the ‘human component’ – having conversations with my patients, exchanging ideas and being in a position to positively impact their oral health.
When Milan and I would talk about my experiences in the dental field, I felt that there was a lot to be desired in terms of the patient experience and how information has been traditionally exchanged between the patient and the dentist. With his help and support, I decided to embark on this journey to start a dental practice from scratch. We identified Kyle as an area that was most in tune with our values of hard work and family first, and we look forward to being an integral part of this exceptional community.
Dr. Palekar was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from N.C State University before completing her dental education at the University of Michigan. She takes a thoughtful approach to dentistry, grounded in trust, transparency and compassionate care. Committed to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment, she values building lasting relationships with her community and is grateful to be part of the Vue Dental team.Outside of the office, Dr. Palekar enjoys staying active, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and keeping up with NC State and Michigan sports.
Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, I graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2001 through their accelerated six-year combined BA/DDS program. Following graduation, I completed an Esthetics Fellowship at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 2002.

With over two decades of clinical experience in private practice, I am dedicated to bringing high-level expertise to my professional work. Outside of my clinical practice, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and gardening.
